Diamonds are a girl's best friend

I have successfully created diamond jewelry! I've bought a small strand of rough yellow diamonds that are really tiny, but sparkly and adorable none the less. As a rock person I have just the utmost appreciation for it.

Since they're so tiny, and my favorite thing to use such small beads is to make accents, I've created little flower motifs from them.

Mission Accomplished

On November 17th, 2008 I officially attended a taping of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. And I am never doing it in the cold ever again. Don't get me wrong, the show was a blast, but Dan and I waited outside in about 30 degree weather... for almost 3 hours.

As for the show itself, some things that surprised me:

• Jon Stewart is himself just a funny funny man. Unscripted he's amusing all on his own.
• The set is nothing but orange and blue, and its so small! But on TV it looks like its got red highlights, and it looks huge!
• I got to see Lewis Black!! I LOVE that guy. Also, who knows how much longer he'll be alive. Everytime I see him he looks like he's going to die of an aneurysm from all the anger.
  

Yay! I gave blood again on the 10th. This time I actually walked to the blood donation place, they didn't just come into my office.

I think I'm getting better about it. Didn't think I was gonna vomit and didn't even come close to passing out!

Though, they did keep me there for like effer just in case... ah well. Free juice and cookies and saving lives.
