My 2nd donation this year

I'm scheduled to give blood at 12:45 on Wednesday, at the blood drive here at work.

Lets hope they don't botch it up again and make it look like I'm a domestic abuse victim.

To the stars...

This saturday I gave a jewelry making class to a bunch of lovely ladies. It started in the morning, and lasted till well after dark. That's how into it we all got.

So, walking back out to my car in the dark with 45, maybe 50lbs of stones/supplies made my host's husband take pity on me, and he walked me out to my car, and helped carry the stuff. The lesson was given in the mountains of norther jersey, and I remarked on how nice the stars were here compared to how they looked across the river from manhattan.

And he proved to know a lot about astrology. In fact, he holds the key to a mine there in northern jersey where they host star gazing with telescopes and such.

He taught me a handful of stars I could point to and ask about, and told me he'd email me the dates of the next star gazing. I'll study up ahead of time and when the star gazing night arrives I'll be able to pick a bunch out! (hopefully)

Getting over the jitters

I decided that I'm afraid of becoming addicted to caffeine. It's not as though I drink a lot, but there have been those days where I just drink cup after cup of coffee, and then tea... and then come the jitters.

So its been going well. I have my one cup of coffee in the morning, and then switch to decaff or herbal tea to avoid anymore OD-ing

Liv 4 the weekends

Check it!

...now, let's see how long I can keep this up.

The iPhone

Ok, so the new iPhone is coming out on July 11th. I've got my tax return from New York State sitting in my bag, and it'll just about cover the cost of the 16Gig model.

So when it comes out, I'm hauling my butt to an AT&T store and signing up!

I'm thinking visual voice mail will be a big help in making sure I don't let my voice messages go over my limit of 5.

Tickets Reserved

I have officially reserved 2 tickets to the November 19th, 2008 taping of the Daily Show!

Herb Garden Update

I've started the herb garden!

Right now its just a couple of small pots. I've got Basil, Oregano, Thyme, and chives. Half of them I bought potted, and a couple my mom gave me the shoots from her garden.
I also have a little lavender growing kit I need to crack open and start.

They herbs are currently sitting on my tiny kitchen window sill where they'll get enough light. Eventually I want to make a bigger project out of it, but that sill is really the only place for them at the moment. I can't wait to use them in my cooking!
