Do you like pizza?

So I have successfully delivered a slice of pizza to a homeless person. I saw one sitting with a sign... didn't stop to read it but I did see a sign for pizza about a hundred feet ahead of him.

So I walked into the pizza shop, bought a slice and had it wrapped in a bag. When I approached him and bent down, I didn't even get to the word 'like' in "Do you like pizza?" before he was already reaching up and taking it from out of my hands.

I smiled when he took it and said thank you. Then I nodded and turned to walk away. He paused and called back 'God bless you.' They all say that... I turned and waved again before going and catching my bus.

I would like to sit down and talk to them, but I think that's a safety issue. Some of them are homeless because they have social troubles and can't function easily in society. Its terrible to stereotype like that, but its true. That kind of trouble could easily lead to obsession and stalking so I don't want to risk it, particularly because I always take similar routs home and pass some of the same homeless people over and over.
